Phil worked for an accounting firm before joining a family owned property developer and tourism operator as Gen Mgr. He then went on to become Gen Mgr of ASEAN Ltd, a publicly listed all-suite hotel resort developer. Phil was later appointed as Exec Dir & Gen Mgr of resort operator, Koala Corporation Australia Ltd, described at the time by Australia’s leading business magazine as a "successful resort doctor".

Phil then went into private business and was MD of Hogan Brothers Pty Ltd for over 30 years. With partners it acquired large hospitality venues in the Brisbane CBD, which they re-themed, refitted and relaunched. Hogan Brothers operated a number of landmark venues including the iconic Jade Buddha.

Co-director Michelle Hogan LLB (Hons) QUT has enjoyed a long career in both the public and private sectors. As Liger's in-house counsel, Michelle brings over 30 years of commercial experience in the fields of property, hospitality and leisure.
